NOW! Foundations

for Speech, Language, Reading & Spelling®

Dyslexia can make reading, spelling, and language skills challenging, which can impact learning and self-esteem. However, learning doesn’t have to be difficult. NOW! Foundations® for Speech, Language, Reading, and Spelling® is a scientifically proven, evidence-based program designed to help students with dyslexia.

THIS PROGRAM IMPROVES:

These stronger skills not only boost self-esteem but also enhance classroom performance. What if these improvements could happen in just a few months, rather than years of instruction? The program is engaging, fun for most students, and delivered through online tutoring with proven, evidence-based techniques.

*More than 88% of those with dyslexia also struggle with phonological processing.

Empowers Learning Skills and Removes Learning Challenges

Our dyslexia reading program takes a strengths based approach by strengthening the skills at the root* cause of reading problems: Phonological Processing and Phonological Awareness are the most common causes of reading, language and learning problems. People with weaknesses in these areas experience these difficulties:

Speaking

Word mispronunciation; difficulty finding words; confusion over verb tenses, plurals, and forms

Difficulty repeating what you said to them, trouble completing multi-step instructions, poor comprehension of what they read

A dislike of reading; reliant on sight words and guesses; slow pace, many reading errors

Poor retention of words after spelling tests, never able to pass a spelling test no matter how much practice – even seems to know how to spell the words at home, but does poorly on the spelling test at school

Avoidance of writing tasks; Written sentences are short and choppy; Sentences are out of order and together do not tell an understandable story, many spelling, punctuation and grammar errors in writing

Difficulty explaining their ideas or retelling a story; poor reading and listening comprehension; struggle to tell a story or directions in the proper sequence

Trouble learning and retaining words in other languages, poor spelling and poor reading and poor speaking of foreign language words

Trouble concentrating; wears out before completing a task

Increasing frustration and poor self-esteem

Many dyslexia programs offer slow progress and lack lasting success, but NOW! Foundations® is scientifically proven to effectively help students, even those with severe dyslexia, through evidence-based methods. With over a decade of research and proven results in peer-reviewed trials, the NOW! Programs® improve reading, spelling, and language skills, including helping adults with Phonological Alexia, a more complex condition caused by brain damage. The program has shown remarkable effectiveness in empowering individuals with dyslexia, thanks to the brain’s ability to form new connections.

STUDENTS WHO TAKE NOW! FOUNDATIONS®

Why NOW! Foundations®?

Because It Gets Results

A Different Approach

Students complete a unique multisensory course, integrating sensory information from the mouth, ears and eyes. Through these activities, students develop a specific knowledge of the mouth movements, auditory sounds and visual features of speech.

Science-Based Learning

NOW! Foundations® courses are based on over 30 years of research by The Morris Center, a neurodevelopmental treatment and assessment center in Florida. Researchers discovered that when students move through a set of multisensory activities, they achieve long-lasting advances in language skills.

Multisensory Learning

Research has shown that exploring language in a tactile, multisensory way significantly improves phonological processing and awareness, which is crucial for strong written and oral language, reading and spelling. With this new ability, students develop phonological awareness and begin to self-correct in language tasks like reading and spelling.

Simply… Results

If you’ve tried other dyslexia reading programs without success, it might be hard to believe that another type of program could help. Our experience shows that students may gain several levels of reading ability within 6-12 months of beginning our tutoring with our highly trained educators.

Improved Phonological Awareness

NOW! Foundations® focuses students’ attention on how separate sounds make up words. When students learn to recognize and manipulate these sounds, they can develop strong reading, spelling and overall language proficiency.

Newfound Confidence

Instead of facing standardized tests, school tasks or reading aloud with fear and anxiety, students have the newfound confidence to accomplish these tasks and succeed. Many of our students have reported enjoying reading and learning for the first time in their lives!

Stories of Success

MARCI’S STORY
“That’s Why We’re Here”

You know they are intelligent, but for many students they cannot read effortlessly and efficiently and accurately like their sibling or classmates. You know they excel in other areas and try to learn all they can, but for some they cannot spell. You know the love to share new discoveries with you, but for some they struggle to find their words.

CANNON’S JOURNEY
“The World Needs to Know”

Boys who are nearly teenagers and are still struggling with Dyslexia’s slow or inaccurate reading skills have typically lost interest, lost hope and adamantly do NOT want to pursue anymore “Dyslexia” treatment programs. Cannon was no different, but after a few weeks he noticed something was different.
