Build a Strong Foundation with NOW! Math Concept Imagery®

Moving on to more advanced concepts is difficult unless the student has a firm grasp of beginning math functions. These concepts are essential for functioning in daily life. Here are a few of the many areas of our lives where math is critical:

A strong foundation in math through the NOW! Math Concept Imagery® program enables learners of all ages to better interpret, express, and reason through math problems using a linguistic, conceptually-based system of learning that improves overall comprehension and increases the ability to rationalize and compute.

Why NOW! Math Concept Imagery®?

Because Math Helps You Manage Life

A Language-Based Approach

NOW! Math Concept Imagery® begins with a language-based approach using visual and kinesthetic ways to understand elementary math fundamentals, teaching foundational concepts. Students who previously struggled to understand underlying math concepts start to interpret, express and reason through problems using our linguistic and conceptually-based dyscalculia program online.

A Two-Fold Process

Math requires two cognitive processes – numeral imagery and conceptual imagery. NOW! Math Concept Imagery® combines those two processes by imaging the numeric sounds, symbols and representations of math concepts. The student then interprets and associates the sound with the symbol, forming an auditory and visual bond.

A Tactile Experience

Students explore the connection between the sound and the symbol through tactile activities and manipulative materials. We present numbers in Fact Families, illuminating the interrelated nature of math concepts.

Incorporating the “Why”

Math requires you to know what to do and why you need to do it. Concept generalization means understanding a concept and applying it to real-life situations – the “why.” The ability to generalize improves when students learn to key in on the words that tell them what is happening and what computation may be needed.

The NOW! Math Effect

The most significant benefit of improved math skills is the confidence and self-esteem boost students experience as they grasp the concepts and use new-found abilities to navigate life better. Whether NOW! Math Concept Imagery® is for you or your child; don’t you owe it to yourself to enroll in this life-changing program.

Foundational Level

NOW! Math Concept Imagery® is a multisensory, structured, intensive program for dyscalculia, or other math learning difficulties. It starts at the foundational level – number imagery. The student explores the language of math, learning the words that express what is happening and the required computations.

Stories of Success

MARCI’S STORY
“That’s Why We’re Here”

You know they are intelligent, but for many students they cannot read effortlessly and efficiently and accurately like their sibling or classmates. You know they excel in other areas and try to learn all they can, but for some they cannot spell. You know the love to share new discoveries with you, but for some they struggle to find their words.

CANNON’S JOURNEY
“The World Needs to Know”

Boys who are nearly teenagers and are still struggling with Dyslexia’s slow or inaccurate reading skills have typically lost interest, lost hope and adamantly do NOT want to pursue anymore “Dyslexia” treatment programs. Cannon was no different, but after a few weeks he noticed something was different.
